Wahana Visi Indonesia
CERDAS has been entrusted by Wahana Visi Indonesia to assess the readiness for implementing the Mangrove-based Carbon Market Project (MbCMP) in Surabaya City, as a response to the global climate crisis driven by Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. The MbCMP leverages the natural potential of mangroves to absorb GHGs while simultaneously providing social and economic benefits to coastal communities. This study highlights the importance of strengthening regulations, governance, and local capacity to support the implementation of a fair, sustainable, and impactful mangrove-based carbon market.
